Bio:

Freelance web developer. Have worked for a lot of local governments including the Mayor of London so am very into web standards. That said, I hate Firefox because its shit and I am often too lazy to test things with it (although I do spend sleepless nights feeling guilty about it ) I love MS because, despite their haphazard approach to CSS, I honestly believe they opened the web up to everyone. Hell, even my parents can use Windows and IE.

Open source sucks because its constantly under development with no regard for backward compatibility making it an unstable platform to build upon. Linux may rule one day but only if they make it as easy to use as Windows (and then it will suffer the same fate - only worse because the code will be in the public domain).

The BoW is a great project for me to test code, learn new ways of doing things and sometimes just to show off. Given that the site has been developing along with the game, there are areas which could do with improvement and some of the code is a bit hap-hazard in places - it was added quickly and without any real care and attention ;)

My first online alias was Jinxed Cat because when I discovered the internet in 1994, I felt a bit like a wet cat stuck up a tree. It wasn't as easy to use back then. People called me Jinx because they were too lazy to type Jinxed Cat. Jinx was used all over the place so I added an M to it (my name) and became JinxM. For reasons I don't understand, people called me Emily or Jinxeth. I chose to go with Jinxeth. People still think I'm a girl.

I started playing Gothador very early on. Quit. Jinxeth was renamed and taken over. Started again with a new Jinxeth. Quit when my life exploded. Picked it up again recently. While I was away, the top players have gone insane and are now stupidly high levels. Without spending a huge amount on USPs and spending every waking hour power levelling, I have no hope of catching them so have stopped trying. I now potter around killing time and AP whilst waiting for new things to come out so I can waste AP hunting for them.

Created the BoW around May 2004 - basically because I was too lazy to remember stuff and the post-it note approach didn't work out.

So I don't really aim to level - I mostly just explore. I've even been ranked as the 19th top slacker! My other latest accomplishment is I that got Detect fixed by explaining to Hoof why his maths was wrong - although hoof refused to rename it J-Detect Version 1.0. Bastard.

I'm a rough and tough landscaper, all scruffy and grungy most of the time, but I clean up nice. Soon to be relocating to Rhode Island into a cozy landscape designer position and a cozy faerie.

Draegon came to Gothador to try and cleanse it of all evil, but it corrupted him before he succeeded. Spending most of his time working on the Book of Wisdom since his arrival, he's at least tried to aid the general populace that way.

Bio:

I'm a Web application developer for a material handling company. As in a distributor of lockers, conveyor, pallet rack, rivet rite, etc. The company also have people that maintain and install such things. I'm mostly creating calculators/estimators ,for instance to find out how much pallet rack go into a space, and other things to help automate things.

Character:

 Geach is conservative quest whore (will poke certain quest that take a long time now. But that is mostly finding elfs in the Teridia Anomaly these days.), but he is normally under five in quest not done. Geach levels at his own pace/beat. Geach sometimes play every 3 days and some other times Geach will chug 10 or more USPS in one night. When Geach became a supporter he was unsure whether to go greenskin or demon. Geach spent some time growing as a human till eventual the lure of teleport brought him to choose demon.

I'm just me, a little bit of everything. I can be professional, but if you catch me in the right mood I'm very Gothic. I have a passion for boots, collars, whips, etc. I am also very intrigued by demons/vampires/ghosts and the like. I'm a bit of a loner, don't really like people very much.

I am a bit of a perfectionist, but it does, sometimes, take a few looksies before I know if it's right how I want it or not. If it's not quite right, then I'll change it and keep changing until it's to my liking (which can take a long time sometimes).

I work full time for a company who manages all the vending for Waffle House (insert your own redneck joke here, and for those who don't know, Waffle House is the most redneck restaurant in the United States). I am an administrative assistant, we deal mainly with Jukeboxes and security systems.

I go to school full time, I'm currently earning a business degree, majoring in Business Information Systems.

CuteNDeadly was born into the realms of Gothador in November 2005. She quickly learned that in order to survive she needed to learn a few skills and quickly. She's Infernal in both character and attitude but is always willing to help those in need. She is a mage, not a top mage, but powerful enough for her own needs. But take heed, she has a bite much worse than her bark.

CuteNDeadly has been in 3 cults,The Dark Brutal Truth of Chaos where she met her both her Bondeds.  Her second home was with The Order of the Trog Floggers.  Copropathy who poofled one day saying it wasn't working out, and has recently seperated from seawolfmoose. Now she is bonded to her one true mate, Nyghtshayde.  Even though he's been lost for some time, she still hopes he will one day return to her.  She now resides in House of T.

Leveling is not CuteNDeadly's primary concern as she has a lust for questing.

Bio:

The real me works for a non-profit in downtown DC, stealing away time from not-so-important paperwork to do more important things - like be a masochist and check the Gothador forums. I'm dualistic I have a superiority and inferiority complex at the same time. I'm a gamer chick who wears business suits and high heels. I walk a very fine line between being the diplomat and being the person who will tell you exactly what I think. And I'm anal about organization (insert your own sex joke here.)

Isisxotic is the reincarnation of Moreta, who I played since the first week of Gothador, and later sold. Isisxotic is a cold, rational warrior who doesn't let emotions touch her unless it involves those she holds dear to her, especially her insatiable one. She joined the ranks of the undead after experimenting (foolishly) with the arcane magics of necromancy, and an incantation gone wrong left her cold, white, and not wholly alive. She now kills with no remorse, having long abandoned any hope of rejoining the living.

I'm a geek by day and a complete geek by night. Specifics? Mirime (Elvish for Charlotte - original eh?) has been around since the first week of Gothador, keeping to herself and avoiding the forum drama. She was proud to be in the Guild of Wisdom way back when, and then moved to The Outcasts, and finally landed in the Dark Cloud Warriors, where she enjoys the company of like-minded nutters and smutters (is that a word? It is now).

Poor college student, architect major currently but i plan on changing that to economics i think, currently unemployed, with as much time as i see my girlfriend youd think i was married but im not actually, i am obsessive compulsive about organization, numbers and spelling, however i could care less about capitalization and punctuation? err.

Character bio:

Penumbra - Definition - A partial shadow, as in an eclipse, between regions of complete shadow and complete illumination. Penumbra is a new character to gothador, maybe 7 months old, however he is level 6000. He is a shadow warrior built for slaughtering innocent characters. He took over as my main character when i sold DesertFox 2 months ago. DesertFox had been around since February 2005 and was named after Rommel the german general. DesertFox started in the Atomic Horde, but after a month moved to the outcasts, where he stayed until many of the outcasts left and melee was formed. He remained in melee until he was sold. Not much before DesertFox was sold, Penumbra was in the cult Shadows Collide With People, then was moved to melee, where he stayed until DesertFox was sold, and then he joined Fate, where he is working hard to become the highest level shadow in the game.

Ashley is a sophomore at Rhode Island College studying Secondary Education with a concentration in English. Because she's crazy, she actually WANTS to teach high school English. She is a sick, sick puppy. She is also looking forward to when her rough landscaper relocates to his cozy faerie.

Character:

Twily is, in interest of accuracy, Fae, rather than straight Angelic. She is the spawn of an Angelic father and Elfin mother. She recently went celestial and has been kicking around Gothador just a few months shy of a year now. In general, she wants to help, but gets very frustrated with the interpersonal aspect, so she hides behind the Book. She's a quest-whore and a general steel trap for trivia and coordinates. She's memorized more of the major locations in the Gothador world than she cares to admit.

Bio:

I manage a team of financial service reps for a cell phone company. I travel occassionally for work, and gothador is a great game that I don't need to install on every PC I use. My wife, young kids, and house make sure I am constantly busy. I love meeting new people and making new friends. Variety is the spice of life, like the saying goes.

Character:

GrandMasterC is a mysterious figure. No one quite remembers where he came from or how he got to gothador. He tends to be a recluse, preferring to study the ways of the arcane. He often employs others to do his bidding, although he has found that the greatest gain in knowledge comes from doing his own killing and carrying out his own tasks. He keeps his minions across all the realms of Gothador, in order to maintain a constant watch on activities of the realms. GrandMasterC started the game in The Outcasts, and is now in Melee.

Heh I'm rotten at writing about myself my spelling sucks. I work in a Tubing Mill we make all sorts of stainless steal tubes for automotive, dairy ,refrigeration and heating uses. My general life is total drudgery and very uninteresting but it pays the bills.

Mortll is a level 3891 Demoness that has been kicking around Gothador for the last 2years. Has only been in one cult The Brutal Dark Truth of Chaos where She tends to rule the roost with her bonded Wolf21 aka Wolfie. I tend to play the game for the fun of the game not levels or a power trip and pretty much avoid the drama on the forums .

Bio:

I'm married with four children and a number of pets that I don't even want to think about.  I've been doing graphic design for 6 years now, and doing online gaming for far more.  Having started my meager gaming roots at a tender age of 7 (thanks to my brother for warping me with D&D), I made leaps and bounds and managed to find a lone chatroom on a distant server to dork around with my friends in, back in '95.  College was boring, what can I say.  My husband also plays in Gothador, and holding to tradition, we continue being offline gaming nerds together on a regular basis.  Yay!

Character Bio:

Nyt has once again found herself in a strange place that she can't quite figure out how to get herself away from.  She's a flaky, eccentric and odd fae assassin, commonly using charms that her enemies had only heard rumors of and garnered fear at having used upon them and, when she found herself in Gothador, that quickly translated over into being a Celestial Mage.  She found herself in the dark and bloody land of Gothador by way of one of her odd fae cantrips gone horribly awry, as her portal dumped her off here instead of in Tahiti.  Ozmendus may not forgive her for that one either, as since he had bound himself to her for eternity, and since he always seemed to be sacrificing himself for her... he had stepped through the portal first and mananged to get his lost horns back... oops, but that is another story.  Being eternally bound to a fae is the absolute strongest bond that can be made and, no matter how many men she may find to flirt with, entice and enamour, she always finds her way back to him at the end of the day.  What a lucky infernal, eh?

A -sometimes- hardworking soldier in the United States Army, I supposedly work with computers in the IT sense, but 99.9% of the time sit on a helpdesk listening to people with a poor grasp of the english language tell me their computer woes in terms of "It's broke-y, fix it!". Oh, and fixing teh interweb. Poor me.

And for the record: Yes... the fish DO cheat.

SainAgain started at a miserable beggar, living on his meager wages from killing rats at the Centra Warpgate.

Later, after being beaten repeatedly by ToneBoogie and BurtonX, he decided that he wanted to be big and strong one day. Working furiously, he became a greenskin, able and ready to thump... more rats.

Later becoming a warlord after slacking off for a year, SainAgain put more serious though into getting stronger, and was soon joined by AShadeOfEmo, the shade of depressiveness (His world is darkness, feel sorry for him, /wrists) Harassing the exchanges (And players in the newly introduced shoutbox), they went 4th tier approximately the same time.

He is now clawing his way up the ranks, smashing noobies, postwhoring, and being a general pest.
